Digitization of holidays in the Czech style

The website for Chatyachalupy.cz was not just a redesign, but above all a digital transformation. We designed a new UX, graphics, programming, and reservation system for the largest recreational property rental portal in Czechia and Slovakia. The result is a modern, stable, and continuously developed solution that significantly facilitates the work of administrators, property owners, and customers.

What we value most about our collaboration with Tourtrend is its depth and longevity. For more than five years, we have been working together to advance the largest portal for renting cottages and chalets in Czechia and Slovakia—step by step, feature by feature, with an emphasis on both detail and the big picture.

A brand with tradition TOURTREND – experts in Czech cottages since the 1990s

The family-owned company Tourtrend is one of the pioneers of Czech online tourism. Since 1999, it has been building a network of its own and brokered properties and offers verified recreational properties across the Czech Republic and Slovakia on the domain chatyachalupy.cz. The result of many years of honest work is a strong name and a stable community of accommodation providers and clients.

Redesign without shock - modern, clear, but familiar

The original website had been in operation for more than a decade, so we designed the new look sensitively according to the MAYA (Most Advanced Yet Acceptable) principle. We fine-tuned the changes with a diverse audience in mind – from young families to older couples. The result is a user-friendly design that simplifies navigation and the entire booking process.

Efficient backend. Personal approach maintained.

A key step was to create a new system that would enable the Tourtrend team to efficiently manage the entire database of recreational properties and process reservations. Owners of cottages and chalets don’t have to worry about anything—everything is taken care of by Tourtrend employees, who personally visit the properties, take photos, create descriptions, and prepare complete offers.

The system includes robust administration for managing content, availability, and orders. The entire backend was designed with an emphasis on simplicity, security, and future expandability. This allows the team to focus fully on customers – rather than dealing with complex technology.

UX never ends – continuous development

We have been monitoring user behavior using Smartlook for a long time, and based on the data, we adjust the layout of elements, infographics, and individual steps in the booking process. The website supports iCal, and we are gradually adding new features that increase user comfort and operational efficiency. The result is a platform that is constantly improving.
