Včelírámek.cz - How we maintained the growth of our e-shop in the worst year for beekeepers in a decade.
We took over the Včelírámek.cz account from another PPC agency this year, and despite the collapsing market, we managed to increase the e-shop’s turnover by 9.6% and the number of orders by 14.2%. This year, when most e-shops in this sector were struggling to survive, we:
- We achieved sales of CZK 4 million (1. 1. – 2. 9. 2025),
- We hold a PNO of 13.4% from paid advertising.
- Total PNO is 7.9% (client-specified PNO up to 8%)
- Our visits, clicks, organic reach, and database are growing.
The largest bee colony mortality in the last decade
The market literally collapsed. In 2025, the Czech Republic experienced the largest bee colony mortality in the last decade – up to 30% in some areas.
- Beekeepers do not renew their equipment because they often have nothing to work with.
- Rescuing an e-shop selling beekeeping supplies during the highest bee mortality rate in the last 10 years.
- Demand was extremely subdued throughout the winter and early season.
- CPC grew, competition on paid channels pushed up prices and impressions.
We learned beekeeping
We began working with a professional beekeeper, to whom we owe a debt of gratitude, as she enabled us to understand the principles of beekeeping and our target group.
- We used emotional communication – connecting with the beekeeping community, emphasizing reliability, quality, and a family approach.
- We used various messages in different formats – competitions, education, news, discounts, benefits.
It was a combination of a sensitive approach and hard performance data—we knew we had to push every channel to the max, but without losing the soul of the brand.
The goal was to survive
The client’s goal was for Včelírámek.cz to survive the season without major losses. However, we did not settle for that and achieved growth even in a situation where the entire beekeeping market was declining due to massive bee colony deaths and an extremely long winter.
